The Brunei History Centre, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, held an opening ceremony yesterday at the Multipurpose Hall at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas for their annual Sports Festival.
Present as guest-of-honour to announce the beginning of the games was Awang Haji Abd Karim bin Haji Abd Rahman, the Chairman of the Sports Festival Committee and Deputy Head of the Brunei History Centre.
There will be four teams competing across the fields of futsal (which was held yesterday at the Multipurpose Hall at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports), darts, table tennis, badminton, netball, 10-pin bowling and tug-of-war, which will be held throughout this month.
The four teams are Alam Bernaga, Naga Buana, Si Gantar Alam and Marak Berapi.
After all the sports events have finished, the overall final winning team will be announced during a closing ceremony in May and will be presented with the Sports Festival Trophy
